Art in the Library

As you might expect at an arts integrated school, we have some very talented student artists. Whether they are creating on their own or working under a teacher's guidance, our students often amaze me with their abilities.
Thank you for the library banner!

5th Grade Earning Digital Passport

This week our fifth graders are discussing and learning more about digital citizenship. We have talked about how to share information safely and appropriately and how your digital footprint will follow you as you go on to college and work.

Guest Reader: Cathy Nelson of Dorman High School

Cathy in the Story Well

We had a special guest visitor in the WHES library today, Dorman teacher-librarian, Cathy Nelson. Cathy was one of my mentor librarian's during my school library media internship at Dorman. A group of second grade students were treated to the award winning book, Balloons Over Broadway: The True Story of the Puppeteer of Macy's Parade by Melissa Sweet. Perfect story for the week before Thanksgiving!
Thank you Mrs. Nelson!
